Systagenix selects Initial Facilities Services for total FM solution

Systagenix, the wound healing specialist, has awarded a three-year contract to Initial Facilities Services for the provision of a total FM solution at the company’s World Wide Manufacturing Facility in Gargrave, North Yorkshire. The agreement will cover all soft and hard FM requirements and is designed to create value for money while enhancing client and employee experience at the site.

The partnership is the first time Systagenix has taken an integrated approach to outsourcing facilities management, which will replace an existing in-house operation and a number of single service third-party contracts. As a result, Initial Facilities Services will self-deliver all necessary services including engineering services, office and industrial cleaning, catering, pest control, security, waste, grounds maintenance, reception services and energy management.

The Initial self developed dedicated helpdesk will provide a single point of contact across the solution and provide effective performance management with automated reporting using Initial Facilities Services eFM system. This will not only support continuous improvement, but also enable the implementation of gain share agreements for all new service innovations.

Thirty employees from Systagenix and existing suppliers will transfer to Initial Facilities Services under TUPE regulations, ensuring appropriate legislative compliance and employee protection. This will also enable continuity at the office and manufacturing site and support the seamless transfer to the new operation.

Ian Higginson, engineering manager at Systagenix commented: “We needed a partner that could effectively mobilise and self-deliver a complex facilities management operation across all necessary services. We have worked closely with Initial Facilities Services to develop a high quality and innovative solution that will not only achieve efficiencies, but also meet our precise needs. The partnership that we hope to build with Initial Facilities Services will help Systagenix to achieve its goal of becoming the most admired wound care company in the world.”
